Huawei Cloud was ranked No. 1 in the Chinese container market in terms of market share and growth in the first half of 2023, demonstrating its leading position in the Chinese container market. This is the seventh time that Huawei Cloud was ranked No. 1 with a market share of 28.1%, according to the China Semiannual Software-Defined Compute Software Market Overview and Analysis-2023H1 released by IDC.

Enterprises are accelerating their cloud native journey and the containerization rate is increasing year by year. A relevant authority predicts that by 2025, 85% of mature economies will use cloud native technologies.

Chinese companies are expanding into international markets and AI is being adopted by a variety of industries. Traditional cloud native technologies (such as service mesh and immutable infrastructure) are insufficient. Huawei Cloud is striving to make the cloud native infrastructure ubiquitous, serverless, and intelligent to help customers operate more efficiently and stay ahead of the curve.

·   Ubiquitous: Ubiquitous cloud native services offer cloud native capabilities with a consistent experience and a diverse ecosystem in a wide range of scenarios. Huawei Cloud Ubiquitous Cloud Native Service (UCS) was launched in 2021. You can now "Build Once, Run Anywhere", and efficiently manage cross-cloud, cross-region clusters.

·   Serverless: Huawei Cloud launched CCE Autopilot, a serverless Kubernetes cluster, that frees you from having to manage a complicated infrastructure. You can just focus on your businesses and workload optimization and rest assured you are using the cloud more efficiently.

·   Intelligent: AIOps, GitOps, FinOps, and other technologies can help you schedule, operate, and maintain compute resources more intelligently.

Huawei Cloud's cloud-native products have been and are being widely used by the industries. Here are some examples. By leveraging these products, a multinational Internet company, built an industry-leading social content sharing platform that brings high-quality custom services and a consistent experience to more than 2.4 billion users worldwide. A driving company, built a smart driving platform that can handle traffic peaks elastically and brings intelligence for new energy.

Huawei Cloud has been exploring cloud native and open source technologies. As a founding member of Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) in Asia, Huawei Cloud works with developers worldwide to innovate cloud native technologies to promote the development of the industry. Huawei has open-sourced the CNCF's first cloud-native edge computing project KubeEdge, the CNCF's first cloud-native workload scheduling engine Volcano, and the CNCF's first multi-cloud container orchestration engine Karmada, and followed some other innovative projects such as Kurator, Kappital, and Kuasar. Recently, Karmada was officially promoted to the CNCF incubation level, and Volcano was ranked on the 2023 Open Source Innovation List. This further demonstrates Huawei Cloud's concept of sharing advanced technologies with global developers and continuously contributes to the development of the open source innovation ecosystem.

Huawei Cloud will continue to invest in cloud-native technologies, product upgrades, and ecosystem cultivation, with the intent to provide more comprehensive, efficient, and intelligent cloud native products and solutions for customers. Looking ahead, you can expect Huawei Cloud to keep improving to meet ever-changing customer requirements and help accelerate the industry-wide digital transformation.
