Huawei Cloud Launched Digital Pioneer Program in Spain, Vowing to Accelerate the Digital Journey of SMEs

[Madrid, Spain, June 27] At today's Huawei Cloud Summit Spain 2024, Huawei Cloud presented its "Digital Pioneer 2024" program, in line with the national "Spain Digital 2026" blueprint. Huawei Cloud addressed its commitment to working over the next five years to support Spain's goal of helping more than 500,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and accelerate their digital transformation.

The latest Pioneer Program coordinates the resources of all parties to support SMEs and start-ups in the areas of entrepreneurship, marketing, and more. To introduce new experiences, business models, and efficiency to local customers and partners, Huawei Cloud will provide comprehensive training tailored to the needs of startups, including themed training camps and seminars for founders, CEOs/CTOs, and business developers.

Gathering more than 300 guests at the Estadio Civitas Metropolitano in Madrid, including government and industry leaders, the summit showcased a range of innovative products that serve as productivity tools, including a hybrid cloud platform, a distributed cloud database, Pangu models, the upgraded content production pipeline MetaStudio, and the data analytics platform.

Speaking at the summit, Andres Yin Hui, CEO of Huawei Iberia, said, "I would like to emphasize that Huawei's commitment to the digitalization of Spanish society goes far beyond the business framework. I hope that this Huawei Cloud Summit will serve to further promote these public-private collaborations and that together we will build a better digital future for everyone in Spain." He highlighted four key areas where Huawei wants to make its mark, such as talent, inclusion, trust and sustainability.

Huawei Cloud products and services unveiled at the summit included Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3, the industry's most comprehensive hybrid cloud platform that seamlessly integrates private and public cloud functions. In addition, the next-generation distributed cloud database offers high security, elasticity, and intelligence, a better choice for global enterprises. Huawei Cloud also unveiled its three-tier, decoupled Pangu models, which enable enterprises to train their own AI models with their data. Huawei has made it clear that it wants to align its AI models with the needs of the industry. The upgraded MetaStudio with pre-trained audio and video data at PB level allows fast modeling and achieves 95 percent lip sync accuracy for virtual humans.

As the world's leading digital infrastructure provider, Huawei Cloud has played an important role in various industries such as media and entertainment, tourism, and healthcare. In the media and entertainment industry, MetaStudio improves the efficiency of content creation, while the OTT solution provides global interactive and livestreaming experiences with low latency. In tourism, Huawei Cloud helped TravelGateX, Spain's leading travel platform, connect more than 1,000 hotel providers, improving performance by 35% and resource utilization by 40. In the healthcare sector, QuironSalud, a renowned Spanish hospital, benefited from the cloud-native data lake solution and achieved fast case detection and efficient management.

To date, Huawei Cloud has a global presence of 93 availability zones (AZs) in 33 Regions.
